Vallejo
has changed my life. It's hard to describe just how much Vallejo
means to me. Since March, I've only gone one day without listening
to at least one Vallejo song. It's even hard for me to remember
what my life was like before Vallejo. My favorite thing to do
now is go to Vallejo shows, listen to Vallejo music, tell everyone
I meet about Vallejo, put Vallejo stickers everywhere I can, and
mail out e-mails to everyone in my address book telling them about
Vallejo.
My first Vallejo show was Sept. 9, 2000, at Auditorium Shores.
Originally from Houston, I'd never heard of Vallejo. They totally
rocked on that day, but I really got hooked when I saw them at
Antone's for the first time that following January. It was like
an awakening. I was like, "Oh my gosh! This is the greatest music
and the greatest band ever!" It was like I was hypnotized. Ever
since that day, I've been cast under this Vallejo spell. I'm sure
everyone can relate when I say that I have "Vallejo Withdrawal"
when I don't see them for a while. Late one night over the summer,
a friend of mine and I were listening to Vallejo songs, and we
had to turn it off because we were getting depressed because we
weren't going to see a show for a while. It was crazy. I've never
ever felt this way about a band. After becoming addicted to Vallejo,
I was watching my favorite movie "Almost Famous" and towards the
end one of the 'band-aids' is talking about what a true fan is.
She says, "(It's) to love some silly piece of music or some band
so much it hurts." When I first saw the movie, that line meant
nothing to me, because I had yet to hear Vallejo. I now know what
it means, and when I saw that movie a second time, after Vallejo,
I almost cried. It's so true, and I know that all of you other
Vallejo Crazies know what I'm talking about. I've gotten all of
my closest friends hooked. This summer my best friend and her
mom, and me and my mom had a Vallejo weekend, driving from Houston
to San Antonio to Austin to see Vallejo play. I've changed my
e-mail address and my screen name to something with Vallejo, and
I hardly listen to any other music but them. Their lyrics are
so positive, and the music is so captivating. I almost died the
first time I got to meet the band. Before I really met the band,
I randomly ran into AJ during Mardi Gras walking along 5th street.
I was so excited I can't even remember what I said. My friends
told me that they'd never seen me that happy. All of the guys
are so nice, and that made me love them even more! This summer,
I had foot surgery and had to be in a cast and a wheelchair at
the shows. The guys were so nice, and they all signed my cast.
My only regret is that I didn't get to hear Vallejo years ago,
but I'm glad I discovered them when I did. Thank you so much VALLEJO!
You are the greatest band EVER! I love this band so much, and
you've changed my life! You WILL conquer the music world one day,
and until then, I'll keep going crazy at every show and spreadin'
the Vallejo Love!

I've
been a fan of Vallejo since the first CD in '94 and continue to
be amazed by their live shows. They are incredible musicians and
it frustrates the shit out of me that they aren't huge (yet).
I love the fact though that they aren't fazed in the least by
that. They seem to just truly love what they do, and I, for one,
have yet to play their music for or attend their shows with people
who aren't instantly won over by them. When they played Riverfest
'99 in Little Rock, with such names as Candlebox and Collective
Soul, Vallejo are the ones who stuck out in the memories of at
least 10 of my friends who had never heard of them before that
night. Now these people are some of their biggest fans.
Radio be damned - VALLEJO RULES!

This
is the first time I have seen this website and I am impressed.
The first time I saw this exciting band was in 1997 in Corpus
Christi at Doctor Rockets I was standing on a chair so I could
get a better view. They kicked ass, and I have been to several
shows since then and I even hung around to get autographs. These
guys need to be better marketed; they have a lot of talent and
big hearts. I have met many bands and band members. No, I am not
a "Groupie" I just love good music. Once in Corpus they invited
me to a party at Mark's (a good friend of theirs in Corpus), and
just recently at Antone's after the show I was invited to another
party. I did not go because I am 39 years old and I am too old
to be out that late, but anyway my point is they are so nice to
all their fans and I hope they make it big. Can you please keep
me updated on their shows and appearances.
Thanks,
Cathy Gonzales

I
am glad to be a member of VST. I definitely hope that Vallejo
comes back to this area. I wasn't able to see them last year.
I am originally from Austin, just work here in DC now. I am in
the Navy so I move every few years. I first got turned on to the
group when I was visiting home a couple of years ago and my brother
took me to Waterloo Park. I was instantly hooked. Before I left
Austin to go back to Connecticut (6 yrs here), I borrowed his
Vallejo CD. I have not returned it yet. My favorite is "Magnolia
Tea Room".
